Desperate to Survive – A Plea for Help

I never imagined I would be in this position—writing to strangers, hoping that someone, somewhere, would care enough to help. But when life keeps pushing you down, you reach a point where you have no choice but to ask for help.

I am a young person, the only one in my family who is able to work, yet I have no job. We are a family of seven, all squeezed into a single small room, sharing one bathroom. Every day is a struggle to put food on the table, to find enough space to sleep, to keep hope alive.

The hardest part is watching my loved ones suffer. Two of my family members passed away from illnesses that could have been treated—if only we had the money for proper medical care. Now, others are sick, and I live in fear that I will lose them too. I feel helpless, knowing that no matter how hard I try, I cannot afford the treatment they need.

I wake up every day with a heavy heart, knowing that my family is depending on me, but I have no resources to change our situation. I’ve searched for work, tried everything I could, but opportunities are scarce when you start with nothing.

I am not asking for luxury, just survival. Anything you can spare—a few dollars, a kind word, or even sharing my story—could make all the difference. I just want to give my family a chance at a better life, at dignity, at hope.

Please, if you can help in any way, I would be forever grateful.

You can post this on crowdfunding sites like GoFundMe, BeggingMoney, or social media with a link to receive donations. Adding real photos (without compromising privacy) and updates can make it even more effective.

Would you like me to adjust anything to fit your situation better?

*Help Husam and His Family Rebuild Their Lives**

*Dear Supporters,**

My name is Husam, a 69-year-old pharmacist from Gaza. The ongoing war has stripped me of my job, my two apartments, my car, and all my life savings. I am now living in a tent with my wife, my son, his wife, and their three young children, aged 3, 6, and 12. We are in desperate need of your support to survive until we can return to our home in Gaza.

Life has become unbearable. For the past 14 months, we have had no electricity, no water supply, and the infrastructure around us is in ruins. Our tent is lit and our mobiles are charged solely by a solar system. We are facing starvation, poor medical services, and a severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies. There are no schools, no colleges, no opportunities for study or learning. Every day is a struggle, and we are living by the mercy of Allah.

We are living in constant fear and panic due to the continuous shooting, shelling, and bombardment. The situation is dire, and the scarcity of food has made it extremely expensive and difficult to obtain.

We are in desperate need of support to sustain ourselves until we are allowed to return to our city. Your assistance would be a lifeline for us in these difficult times, enabling us to survive and rebuild our lives.

In simple terms, all the basics of life are destroyed. We are suffering and agonizing every minute of our daily lives. I have spent all the money I had, and we are now in dire need of your help and support.

Any help you can provide, no matter how small, would make a significant difference for us. We deeply appreciate your kindness and generosity.

Your contributions will enable us to survive this challenging time and rebuild our lives. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in our lives.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

**With gratitude,**
Husam

Stuck in the Middle East

Hi. I’ve been working in the UAE for two years and my contract is up at the end of January 2025. During my time here  I’ve accrued more credit card debt than I would normally as I had some medical issues come up in addition to normal living expenses. I figured I would pay this off over time as I’ve always done back home in the U.S. However,I recently learned that there is a chance that I might not be allowed to leave the country until my debt is settled, as evidently there is a large number of expats who skip out on there debts, literally under dubious means, leaving the Emirati banks holding the bag. There is no way I’m going to be able to come up with what amounts to $8000 USD ( 28,000 AED) by the end of January.

So, I am asking for any assistance that might be available, even if it is not the full amount. Anything will help get me closer to paying this debt down in time. I really feel weird asking for help, and I had fully intended to continue paying this debt off from the U.S. when I returned., but I have been desperately trying to find a way to do this quicker since learning I could end up being detained or even jailed.

Thanks for your consideration.

A Desperate Plea for Help: Seeking Safety and Life-Saving Surgery

My name is Salma, and I am writing this with a heavy heart and an urgent plea for assistance. My situation is dire, and my hope lies in the generosity and compassion of those willing to help. I am currently trapped in an active war zone, a place where safety is a luxury and survival is a daily struggle. Amidst this chaos, I face an even graver challenge: the urgent need to travel abroad for life-saving surgery.

Living in a conflict zone is harrowing. Explosions, gunfire, and destruction have become the soundtrack of my days. Every moment is filled with uncertainty, fear, and the haunting question of whether I will survive the next attack. Basic necessities such as food, clean water, and medical care are scarce, and any semblance of normal life has been obliterated. This relentless reality has left me physically and emotionally drained, with no access to the critical healthcare I desperately need.

My medical condition is deteriorating rapidly. I have been diagnosed with an ailment that requires specialized surgery, one that cannot be performed in my war-torn region. Local hospitals are overwhelmed or destroyed, and medical professionals have fled for their own safety. To save my life, I need to travel abroad to a medical facility equipped to handle my condition. The cost of this journey and surgery is **$43,000**—a sum that feels insurmountable given my current circumstances.

I do not take lightly the act of asking for help, but I am left with no other option. I am reaching out to kind-hearted individuals who might be moved to support me in this critical time. Your assistance, whether through financial aid, connections to organizations that facilitate medical evacuations, or simply sharing my story, could mean the difference between life and death. Reaching the **$43,000** goal would allow me to secure the surgery I need and escape the horrors of war for a chance at recovery and safety.

This is not just a plea for medical treatment—it is a cry for the chance to live, to escape the chaos surrounding me, and to rebuild a future. I long for a day when I can look back at this moment with gratitude, knowing that people cared enough to intervene. Your help could give me that chance.

I humbly ask you to consider my plight and take action to support me. Together, we can overcome this darkness and move toward hope. Thank you for reading my story.

My very rare medical condition is pushing me to follow my dream!

Though life has its ups and downs, I have always been an optimist and a hard worker, facing whatever comes with a smile and motivation to succeed. But all of that ground to a halt about 5 years ago when my body started down a bizarre spiral of headaches and light sensitivity. I finally have a diagnosis- Severe Photophobia caused by Constant Silent Migraines. What that really means is my body stopped being able to handle light. I cannot go out in the daylight at all, and even at night I can only leave the house for short amounts of time. If I do go into the sun (which I only do for absolute necessities, like doctor visits) I end up terribly sick in bed, unable to function while i recover for at least next day or two. If I don’t immediately get in to bed to let my body start recovering, my immune system completely collapses under the strain.

This has totally changed my life as the mother of a busy household of amazing daughters. I cannot function as a normal parent because I cannot take my kids out to a doctor, to shop, even to play in a park. I try to still be there for them in every way possible, and we problem solve and get creative to meet all of their needs and keep our home happy and smiling, but it is such a struggle to fight the depression of isolation, of never stepping out into the sun, of no longer being in control of my life. Still, I do my absolute best to keep on smiling!

I also had to stop working- no more teaching, closed my freelance graphics company, since I can’t go out and I can’t even look at a computer screen for more than a few minutes at a time. That has of course thrown our financial situation into total meltdown, which has compounded my stress level more than I can say!

But I won’t let this beat me. I am determined to keep going and get us back on our feet! But what kind of job can I get that is in my home ad not screen related? And I finally figured it out- I want to become a coach to help kids with ADHD succeed in life. After beginning to work with my kids’s ADHD, I was diagnosed with ADHD as well, which allowed so many things about myself and my life to click into place!  I began to learn everything I can to help myself and my children navigate the challenges that come with our type of brain, in a world not totally built to support us, and I realized- I love this, and I am good at this! I am so passionate about helping kids who have this huge potential buried inside of them bring out their best selves and thrive!

So I am looking to you wonderful people for help- I need to pay for my schooling and keep my family afloat while I follow this career path to what will hopefully be an amazing business venture within a year.

Please help me follow my dream, and keep facing life with a smile, even if I have to do it while confined to my home…

Danielle

EMERGENCY

Greetings everyone, I’m DIVINE here,a 45years ugandan single mum of 3 girls currently in United Arab Emirates (Dubai) requesting for financial help of 3,000usd to travel back to uganda for treatment.

It all came as a result of losing my husband in 2016 in a car accident leaving me with a responsibility of 3 girls ranging 10,5 and 1 years respectfully, since i was just a house wife life became hard and couldn’t afford to take care of my kids so in 2019 i decided to travel to Dubai for greener pastures leaving my kids with my mum.

Everything was going on well until i got an accident last year 2023, October ,23rd when cleaning the AC and fell off the ladder leaving me with severe injuries on my back and hand and my bosses couldn’t extend my contract so since then I’ve been working under cover without visa because no employer could take me with injuries because before making working Visa for anyone in UAE you have to go under medical check up, I thought i could push it more under cover to raise the school fees and welfare of my kids but it seems that things aren’t working out any more because no one is willing to employ an injured person without proper documents.

But the good news is that United Arab Emirates government has put amnesty for all visa violators to leave the country before 31st, December 2024 that’s why I’m here requesting for help of 3,000usd to work on my papers and go back home for proper treatment before amnesty ends and may be start something small in my country than in a foreign country .

I will be very grateful if my request is considered

Empower Alexandra to Live Without Pain

Help Alexandra Get the Life-Changing Treatment She Needs for Endometriosis

Hello, my name is Alexandra. I’m 22 years old and living in Poland, where I’ve been facing a long, painful battle with endometriosis. This chronic illness affects one in ten women, causing intense pain, fatigue, and other health complications that make everyday life challenging. Unfortunately, in Poland, the high cost of endometriosis treatment creates a huge barrier, especially for young women like me who lack the financial means to cover such expenses.

Living with endometriosis means coping with constant pain, disrupted routines, and a limited ability to pursue my dreams. Despite all of this, I am determined to regain control over my life and well-being, and I know that the right treatment could give me a fresh start. However, the costs of necessary surgery, specialized medications, and ongoing therapy are staggering. These medical expenses are far beyond what I can afford alone, and with limited public support available, I find myself in a difficult position.

This is why I’m reaching out to you, in the hopes of finding support that could make all the difference. Your generosity—no matter the amount—can bring me one step closer to the care I need. Each donation is a gift that brings me closer to a life without relentless pain and allows me to look forward to a future of possibilities.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any assistance you can provide. Your kindness and support mean everything to me, and I am deeply grateful for any contribution toward my healing journey.

Accident and fines

My name is Timothy Njenga from Kenya in East Africa. I got a Taxi working visa on June 2023 to United Arab Emirates on a two years contract. Driving here is opposite from driving in my home country and the roads are more complicated. I work on commission basis but my salary isn’t enough to cater for my basic needs. During my time here in UAE I’ve been having challenges due to the pressure that comes along with work since I have to meet daily target which sometimes is very hard. In UAE fines are big sums and up to date I got fines of up to 31, 768.54aed approximately 8, 700usd. This comes along with traffic fines and accidents. Here even the smallest accident you have to call the Raffid that is a branch that works together with the traffic police. And for them to come and make a report they charge 440aed, plus now that you got the accident report you have to go for repair from the company. Its very unfortunate that at the company this is kind of business to them because they charge double the amount for repair because we have corrupt bosses. Here in UAE they consider the smallest scratch on a vehicle as an accident. Due to the nature of the job its very rare to find a taxi that has no dent or small scratch at all and every time you find yourself in such a situation, you consider having charges along. I am computer literate and I have a diploma in Information Technology.

I did not pursue further because I have siblings who were also supposed to finish up to secondary level. My passport is being held by the company and I cannot get any other job here without a passport. I cannot also have a chance to visit my family after my two years contract which will be next year on June. My fines accumulated because recently I had a major accident and the car was written off. Here in UAE there is alot of opportunities but I have to clear the debt  so that I be able to get my documents and get another  job that has less pressure and a fixed salary. My salary which is based on commission ranges from 1, 000aed to 2, 450aed. It varies with the availability of customers. This is the same amount I have to use for food, house rent, and medication in case I fall sick because the company does not issue health insurance. The same amount I have to send for my family back at home including my wife, three kids, mum my brother and sister. Sometimes it becomes very difficult for me to survive because I’ll pay the rent here and send all the rest at home because i have to support them. For food I’ll survive with small tips such that sometimes I will take tea and some slices of Bread during the day and for supper and I call it a day.

Actually I’ve not given up but my expectations when I was coming to UAE versus the reality on the ground is totally different. My dreams are almost shattered but am trying to stay strong and remain calm because of my family back at home. I have a long story to share. I have learnt alot. Kindly to the people or person  willing to assist, I will really appreciate because without help I see my family breaking up because the little am sending is not even enough. All my kids are in school and I have been having shool fees balances of previous terms. At the same time I have to support my mum, brother and Sister. We have been raised by a single mum and that’s why I thought of searching for greener pastures hoping that I would change the situation back at home but am yet to succeed. I have very high hopes that I will secure another job. Your assistance will be highly appreciated.  Thank you.

Help me Ayush Ghritlahre for my education

Hello, my name is Ayush, and I’m reaching out for support during a challenging time. I am a dedicated student with a deep passion for learning and a dream of building a better future through education. However, recent circumstances have made it difficult for me and my family to support my education.

My family has always valued education and has worked hard to provide for me and my siblings. Unfortunately, we’ve recently faced a financial setback. My older brother, who was trying to improve our financial situation, suffered a significant loss in trading. This has left our family in a serious financial crisis. With most of our resources tied up in efforts to recover, we are struggling to cover basic expenses, let alone my educational fees.

I am currently studying and working hard to maintain my academic performance. I know education is key to building a stable and successful future, both for myself and for my family. With your support, I will be able to continue my current studies without interruption and focus on achieving my goals. Every donation, big or small, will make a meaningful difference in my journey and help my family get back on our feet.

Your generosity will go directly toward covering my educational fees and necessary resources like books and materials. Together, we can overcome this hardship and build a brighter future. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for any support you can offer.

Ayush Ghritlahre
