Hi! Thank you for reading this. I am a current medical student with a high amount of loan debt. I have around $100k of loans from undergraduate education, and $250k in loans from medical school. I would feel incredibly grateful for any donation to help me get through this final year of medical school, and allow me to start residency in a better place.
I grew up in the California Bay Area. My family worked hard to live in a neighborhood with good schools, but because of this, they have very little savings. With 3 children, expenses were always very high even with both of my parents being employed at mid-level careers. They were unable to contribute to my higher education costs, and I did not meet criteria for need-based aid for either college or medical school.
Even though I have very few expenses every month, I am always running out of money from my student loan debt. I also have just applied for residency, with applications costing around ~$2000. This was a very stressful added expense, and I do not believe I will have enough money in my loans to get me through the rest of the semester.
I will be graduating soon, going into the field of pediatrics. One day, I hope to be a pediatric oncologist to help patients and their families recover from cancer. I am very passionate about research, global and community health, and improving healthcare access for children and their families. In the future, I plan to join Doctors Without Borders to serve those around the world most in need.

Any donation would be greatly appreciated! One day, I look forward to creating scholarships for students to pursue higher education. I frequently volunteer, donate my clothes, and give money to those in need on the street. Having some extra cash to get me through this last semester will be so helpful. It would set me up well for success as I start residency in June.
