I’m asking for some help paying my students loans. I attended SNHU and studied psychology and have hopes of going back to school to earn my MS in sport psychology. While I am grateful to have had the opportunity to attend college, it is rather expensive. While scholarships and grants were able to help, it was not enough to cover everything. I currently work full time and between loans and everything else (medical, car payments, vet, etc.) it would be great to have some help paying the largest bill I currently have.
A little more about my current situation: I am 22 (turning 23 this March!). I work full time as a residential counselor at a treatment center. After taxes and benefits, I make about 500 dollars a week. I currently live at home with my parents which is a huge help since my rent is cheaper here than it would be anywhere else. I pay them 100 dollars a month. My dog has anxiety and paying for his medication is a monthly cost that most people don’t have. He is super cute though and I can post a photo for anyone who wants to smile today. After I graduated college, my car that had magically survived for as long as it did, unfortunately died and I had to say goodbye. My current car payment is 371 dollars and month and insurance payments are more on top of that. Factoring in travel to and from work I spend about 40 dollars on gas a week. Of course, there is my phone bill which is about 50 dollars a month. I spend about 150 dollars a month helping buy groceries. The last 150 dollars I have I use to go towards my student loans. The issue with using all of the money I make a month is that when emergencies happen or when I have to register my car, I immediately go into more debt since I have to use my credit card. I made enough money to live, but I can’t do anything else.
Whenever my friends ask if I want to go out with them to the movies, to grab drinks, to go get food, etc., I always have to say no. If I do decide to go out with friends because it is a birthday or something of that nature, then I know I will have to use my credit card and go further into debt. It is these problems that I am coming to you for help. Any amount is appreciated and I can provide further updates to show how much you are all helping me.
Thank you so much,
