Hello, I currently have $127,000 in student loan debt. In January 2021 I finished my last course of my master’s program however, during that time I was dropped from my program. During that time I was working in a STRTP based group home for teenage boys. The owner of the group home did not have safety plans to ensure that kids and staff were safe should a child run away from the group home & come back with covid. I anonymously contacted licensing for our county & when the owner of the group home found out, he advised his LCSW who was providing my supervision to contact my school & fabricate my worth ethic. In place of the school administering an investigation, I was dropped from the program. Thankfully by the grace of God, 2021 February I was able to go to another college & started a new job. I have since received my Masters of Social Work on August 16th 2023. In place of being bitter about what happened to me, I chose to push forward & continue to give God the glory! I’m currently working at a Veterans Affairs & enjoy servicing our heroes. The VA has a program called EDRP. This program allows any money that you pay towards your student loans to be reimbursed. Of my $127,000 the VA is willing to award me $23,000 a year. In order for me to obtain the full $23,000 eligibility of each year award, I have to make my own payments of that amount to my student loans, show my employer the proof of payments & then my employer sends it back to me once a year for a total of 5 years. I am requesting a donation of $23,000 so that I can take advantage of this blessing of an opportunity as a VA employee. In the event I am able to cut down my student loans, it will allow for an opportunity for my husband & I to have a financial fighting chance for our future. Thank you for reading my post.
