I’m reaching out for help as my children and I are in a really tough situation. After escaping a physically and mentally abusive relationship with their father, we are desperately trying to find a safe place to live. It was a difficult decision to leave, but I knew it was necessary for my kids to grow up in a loving and secure environment.
Since leaving, things have been incredibly hard. I do have a job, but unfortunately, I don’t make enough to cover rent and basic living expenses. I worry every day about how my kids are feeling after everything they’ve been through, and I want to provide them with the stability they need to heal and thrive.
The challenge is that if I were to look for a different job that pays better, I wouldn’t have anyone to take care of my kids during the day. Childcare is expensive and hard to find, and I don’t want to leave them in a situation that isn’t safe or nurturing. Right now, my priority is to find a stable home where we can feel secure and rebuild our lives.
