Hello,
My name is Michael and I am requesting some help. I wouldn’t typically even consider this approach but I am in a situation I don’t think I ever saw coming.
A bit of Background on my situation:
in 2017 i suffered an injury while working as an Arborists Assistant where i compressed my spine and herniated 12mm. of soft tissue into my spine. I was paralyzed from the waist down on my right side for over 6 months and spent most of 2018 and early 2019 recovering 80% of the use and feeling from my right foot at the tip of my toes to my hip. I went back to work and was fine for the most part (Here in 2023 and I still have mobility issues that severely limit my performance but I still work) until the pandemic in 2020 brought most of my work to a grinding halt. My Wife and I worked at adapting to the new struggles that came with the “Shut-In” lifestyle that had become the norm in almost everything we did.
We worked through it, Together we achieved what we originally were worried was an unmanageable situation being that she had to find new work and I had to work out a new and reliable source of income as well. Harder still managing all of this while Monitoring my until this time uncontrolled Diabetes that had been slipping under the radar for years until my Insulin production ceased almost entirely during a prolonged incident with an Abcess in my gumline.
The worst seemed behind us and as we stabilized my Teenage children reached out to me interested in getting to know me better, (we had been seperated for 10 years when their mother relocated across the country to live with distant family) So we pooled our resources and got our home ready for the Reunion. Everything was going well, until I got an infection in my lower back in the form of a Pilonidal Cyst. I toughed it out for a few weeks and the infection got so bad that it immobilized me. I had the Drainage Surgery done but my Diabetes made me to high a risk to be put under for Excision.
I changed my lifestyle further, recovering from the initial Drainage procedure and healing process, going to the gym, changing my diet but the road back was harder this time then recovering before from the injury pre-existing in 2017. Shortly after recovery another discovery of Degenerative Disk Disease increased my Recovery time.
My Wife covered every expense she could on her check and my side of the finances were not covering the lack of full employment. We chose to persevere, I recovered and the Kids moved back with their mom until this year in April. We were reunited again and all seemed well, Happy and functioning at what seemed almost 100%.
But as my story has outlined time and again, it wasn’t over. Until it was. With almost no explanation other then “We Didn’t work” and she “wasn’t happy for a long time” , My Wife left with little fanfare or tolling of alarms. She took the car and the better of our paychecks. I was working on temporary assignments trying to bring myself back from a rough series of employment gaps. I landed a Job as she was leaving. and so we come to current events.
My Children, My Two Canine companions, and My house are all standing on a knife edge of me getting back to work full time, while going to school for Data Sciences. I have no car which means no way to keep going to work and my neighbors are of limited ability to assist me further (They have been a blessing)
I am Trying to Obtain 5,000.00 Dollars to Cover the expense of a used vehicle and make sure i keep food in the house and the lights on for the first month back to work at a full time job. The Car for daily commuting and everyday running, the electric and the groceries because the children go to school online and everyone needs to eat. I am grateful for any assistance and I am looking toward the future even after everything with hope in my heart that with Perseverance and a bit of Help, that I can get back on my Feet and keep providing for the four out of the five people I Love Most in this world. Blessings to any and all who have read this, and those who choose to help.
Thank You Humbly, Michael
