Hi All – I have never had to ask for help before. I’m in my early 60’s and did not expect to be in this situation. After an excrutiating 8 years of illness, personal losses – a lot of mourning – and financial setbacks, I am at my wits’ and pennies’ end.
The most pressing matter is that I owe several months in rent arrears and my landlord is taking me to court if I cannot pay 3k by the end of the month.
The good news is that I very possibly have a job starting soon. Even so, my first paycheck will not arrive for about a month. I will already be in court and in the meantime, have zero funds for transportation, utlities, even doing laundry. I am getting some help with food but otherwise, no financial assistance whatsoever. No family or friends who can help. I’ve been hustling for gigs and selling things on Ebay – here and there – but it’s been very tough.
I really don’t know what to do.
If anyone has it in their heart to help, I would greatly appreciate it. I also would definitely pay the favor forward! <3 <3 <3
