Hello everyone,
I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart and a great need. As a single mother of three, I have always tried my best to provide for my children, but a series of recent events has put us in a truly difficult and desperate situation. I am now humbly asking for your help to get back on our feet.
A little while ago, our family’s car—my only means of getting my children to school and myself to work—broke down completely. With no reliable transportation, my kids have already missed several days of school, and I’ve missed crucial days of work. This has not only put us in a stressful spot but has also created a dangerous domino effect for our family.
Because of the missed work, I fell behind on rent. We were a month behind, but to avoid our power being shut off, I had to use what little money I had set aside for rent to pay our PG&E bill. This has now put us a month and a half behind on rent, and we’re at risk of losing our home.
The situation has gotten even more dire with the recent change to food stamp assistance. We no longer have access to this critical support, and with my limited income, I don’t have the extra funds to buy food. This means that in addition to everything else, my children and I are now also facing food insecurity.
Your donation, no matter the size, would make a direct and immediate impact. It would go toward:
- Securing reliable transportation so I can get to work and the kids to school.
- Paying the back rent and ensuring we have a home.
- Putting food on the table for my children.
This is an incredibly difficult and humbling ask, but I am doing it for my children who deserve stability, safety, and a full meal. I am working hard to overcome these obstacles, but I cannot do it alone.
