I am a senior and going through a common struggle. Turned 65 1.5 years ago during unemployment and companies shy away from hiring one who is too old to start a new dedicated career and will probably retire soon anyway. In the interim, I have struggled to make ends meet with inflation and part time work hours. I accepted a very physical job in February, and got injured. As we all know, insurance company doctors will likely favor the insurance company, who said this was a previous injury, (it is NOT), but they cut off treatment and compensation without warning 10 days ago. My rent and car payment is due in a couple of days, among other necessities and I am worried about getting behind. I have job applications out there and know I’ll be okay eventually, but help from those who can afford to help would be greatly and heartfelt appreciated.
