Hello, I’m a mother of two and support two additional teenage boys who live with me. Two months ago, I was laid off from an amazing bank after over eight years of employment due to the federal rate hikes and a 75% drop in business. The past two years have been tough on our industry, but hundreds of applications later, I’ve landed a position at a fantastic company far from where I reside. I pushed through the rejections, believing that a company would believe in me, and I landed something good, but I’ve been living on credit cards for months, and I’m just about maxed out with bill collectors calling. I’ve had sleepless, anxious, and fearful nights. Still, I continued to believe and apply diligently for work, trying to pivot in my career, make connections, and network. I charged my credit card to rewrite my professional resume with money I didn’t have, and a week later, I landed a good job! If someone could help me to pay my first month’s rent and the deposit, I would be eternally grateful because I don’t start work until the end of the month! I have money left on my credit card to drive our car and personal items to the new state, and I have enough to charge my credit card for food. I’m seeking $3200 for rent and the deposit to provide for my family and get caught up again! I’ve done all I can to sustain us this long, and as soon as I can get my first check, we will be in the saddle. Until then, I need help so we can have a place to live when I drive to my new job. If you’re able and willing, please donate any amount. We will be eternally grateful, and may you be blessed for whatever you can give. Thank you!
