Hello, my name is Charles and I am at high risk for eviction. I struggle with bipolar disorder II and lost my job at the end of last month when my best friend and his younger brother were shot and killed in a robery. I have become severely depressed and lost much cognitive function from this. I was able to cover half my rent with my last pay check, but I still owe $325 that was due today. I will be served a 7 day eviction notice tomorrow if I cannot come up with the payment, and at that point my cat and I will have nowhere to go. I cannot find any emergency assistance programs in the area that have funds available and I wish I would have reached out sooner, but Asking for money is the last thing I wanted to do and am severely embarrassed.
