Hello, I am facing a possible eviction in Arizona and am in need of money to get rid of the eviction and continue living in my apartment. To give some background, I moved to Arizona from Philly in August in order to eventually restart school to become a high school teacher. I currently do not go to school but am instead working at a resturaunt and trying to build up funds before going back to school. I left my grandmom and a couple siblings in Philly and a few weeks after I moved, I was told by my grandmom that she had ovarian cancer.
I had been in Philly to originally help her with her stroke, dropping out of college to do so and I was ready to go back to Philly to help her yet again. My grandmother told me, however, to stay in Arizona since I had stayed in Philly for 5 years to help her already. Plus, she reconnected with my siblings after not talking to them for years before that. I decided to stay in Arizona but send money to help her out with anything she needed.
October hits and she passes away and I go out to Philly to help with the funeral and to settle everything. I ended up taking on a payment plan to pay for the funeral and that set me behind on my rent for the next few months. In the beginning of December, I was about to pay my rent when the funeral home processed my payment and I was unable to pay my rent since I have to pay the balance fully when it is updated on the rental website. This happened again as I was about to pay in January and caused my landlord to contact me and tell me that the eviction process is being started.
Luckily the landlord is understanding enough that as long as I pay the money, they would like to keep me here but I am still short the money needed since the funeral home took another payment even though I believed that the funds were fully paid.
I currently owe $3600 for my rent and I only have $1700 in my account for it. I need a total of $2000 for rent due to the additional processing fee that will be on top of the $3600 that I already owe.
I get paid biweekly so my next pay date is the 23rd and the landlord told me the attorney would most likely get a court date set for the end of next week or the beginning of the week after that.
Too be precise, I am in need of $2000 for rent and if you are willing to help me out, I would appreciate it very much.
