Husband Needs Help! To Keep A place for his wife to return home from the hospital
Yes, I thank God for another day my wife is here with me to cherish our moments together. I realized for the last 8 months that I could lose her. However, I was unable to sustain PAID employment because she requires 24/7 care. My family could no longer provide care assistance. So I had to become her full-time caregiver. I love my wife so much. She had 3 major surgeries less than a month apart. Hip replacement and 2 thoracic surgeries were life-changing events. The 2 thoracic surgeries came from exposure to COVID-19 which caused infected fluid in the lungs at 2 skill nursing facilities. I was by her side 24/7, every day, to make sure she was happy and everything was ok. She has been in the hospital for at least 8 months. My wife also has lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.
The combination of both auto-immune diseases compromises the body to heal in a normal timeframe. She began to cry because she knew if I was with her at home, there would be no rent money at the end of the month. She also knows it will end my home business because all the energy and focus will be on her. We prayed together that the Lord would make a way. She began to cry and pleaded that I would put her in another skilled nursing facility. She remembers the horrific experiences and conditions. I am doing the duty of a husband to honor the request of my wife. We have exhausted our savings accounts and now I am asking for help because all other resources failed.
Please consider helping us ASAP. This month is coming to an end and I don’t have the rent. The rent is $2300 that’s what is needed each month. I am just asking for help. I am on FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) to sustain employment just not getting wages or hours to work. I just don’t want to lose our quality of life during this season. We love the Lord and ask that He touches people to help us in this time. My wife is healing and beginning to enjoy life. I would hate to sabotage her recovery because we don’t have a place to live. All the doctors agreed the best option would be home because of the duration of her hospital stay and the worst conditions she faced at the skilled nursing locations. I ask and pray that God will bless those who help us and I will do a personal video for all that donated to know that this is real and no scam. We are a loving married couple that just hit a “bump in the road” temporarily. There is nothing that can replace the smile and joy my wife is experiencing while at home. We have gotten a lot closer and spending each moment in advance to thank all those who helped us to pay the rent for this month.
