I am seeking help to save my home, my vehicle and funds to sustain me while I seek employment. I am asking if I can get help in the amount of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) . which includes, the balance on my mortgage, my vehicle, and finishing up on getting my house repaired.

I work for an organization that exists in every city and state in this country. I had  recently moved to another state to live with my Son and his wife until I was able to afford my own place. I own a property in a different state that I was hoping to fix up to rent out, I am divorced and needed the residual income. The house is old and worth under $100.000.

In July of 2024 I went to check on the property and discovered that it had been damaged in flooding that had occurred which created a mold situation that needed to be resolved right away. The city told me I needed to call a government agency because it was declared a disaster.

I contacted them and they said that they would help within a couple of weeks. I went back to inform my boss that I needed to return to deal with this situation, and returned within the two weeks. The process of dealing with this government agency was very daunting and stressful they were not following through on their promises and not forthcoming. After speaking with them about the fact that I lived in another state and needed to get things resolved as soon as possible, I was informed that as the Homeowner I needed to be in or near the home because they could not give a time when the inspectors would arrive and if I wasn’t there when they did or could not get there within a reasonable time frame they would move on to their (over four-hundred thousand) other cases and they could not guarantee when they would get back to me, Plus I needed to be there to show proof of ownership and personal identification. So I needed to stay a little longer.

I contacted by bosses to inform them of this, and requested to use my vacation time. I also told them that I would go to the local office to speak with the manager about doing a work detail so that my attendance would not be affected.

When I visited the local office the Manager approved the work detail and gave his full consent for me to work here as long as I needed to. I contacted my bosses to let them know but my manager who was new to our office (whom I have never met to this day) wasn’t familiar with work details and didn’t want to be bothered sent word that I could not do the detail.

I tried contacting him to explain what my instructions were in order to get assistance and to let him know I needed  more time but didn’t know how long. I also wanted to let him know that the detail was approved by the union and the top guy and all he needed to do was put in the finance number so I could get to work. He ignored my texts, my emails, and phone calls so I called his boss to see if he would assist. He had actually told his assistant a few weeks earlier to take care of it, and put things in place for the detail.

When the manager was contacted by his boss he became angry at me because he didn’t appreciate me “going over his head”.  Somehow, he was able to convince his boss that he was making the right decision and has refused to allow me to work here. He started sending demand letters and falsifying documents.  I continued to use my vacation time while I waited, I used that up as well as my sick time. So I had no paid time off.

The main boss’ assistant got involved and for weeks convinced me that she was putting things together for me to do the work detail but I found out they needed to wait for me to use up all of my vacation and sick time before they started sending demand letters. I was not able to leave, and could not even afford to and my car needs work before putting it on the highway.

I decided to put in a transfer to work here, which is what they suggested I do but when my transfer came through last month because they have entered negative comments in my permanent file it is preventing me from transferring or working any where within the organization. I am a good employee, I had no attendance or discipline issues before all this. I was calling in reporting, responding to their request for conference calls but they were putting me in as AWOL.

I received my last paycheck in March. I have ben doing what I can to keep myself afloat, I work, Door Dash, Uber Eats, and Spark to make ends meet which is putting a lot of wear and tear on my vehicle. I am constantly looking for work but  I am 61 years old, this may be a factor in why it is taking so long for me to find employment. I have bills that I cannot pay, some of which have gone into collections, my credit score has tanked and I don’t have enough income to get approved for a loan anywhere.

After waiting for assistance for months I had to put in an appeal because the damage to my home was over eighteen thousand dollars. My home has gone into foreclosure for lack of payments and my first court appointment is December 17th, I would like to pay off my mortgage or at least catch up before that court date because they might choose to completely foreclose if they think I cannot afford to keep it. I have saved up enough to catch up on the arrears which are ($6, 983.00) but they won’t accept the payment, they’ve added over four thousand dollars for attorney’s fees bringing the total to ($10,722.00) they won’t accept any other amount. I can pay my mortgage and car note with what I earn from the driving apps but first I need assistance getting out of this hole.

I have never heard of this sight, and have never been in this predicament where I need so much help but it is a great thing to have and I will most definitely be donating when I get on my feet.
