I am a small town single woman who has always taken care of herself. A few years ago my mother became very ill and I moved in with her to help take care of her. She passed away January of 2020. Then COVID came and I worked at a grocery store and was not able to take any time for myself. My father was diagnosed a couple months later, as a retired VET he gets a small pension but I had to take care of their parts of the rent, food, bills and all of the back and forth to appointments…what little debt of my own has grown by thousands. I have not had a break and am starting to drown in this dept as the interest just keeps accruing. I have since found a better job and my mental state is improving but it seems no matter how hard I try the debt just keeps getting bigger. I humbly ask for any assistance that anyone could spare, please.
