For the last 7 years, my wife has been going through an illness to which we cannot find out what is despite countless doctor visits in state, out of state, both medical and natural. We have been to all types of doctors with very little help, most of which have just treated symptoms but haven’t been able to address the main problem. She has been bed bound for the last 3.5 years. This affects everything about our life and costs additional money to help with every day life that she would normally be able to do. I work a full time job and need the additional help to care for her and take care of our 10 year old son. Due to this, and multiple years of extremely high medical costs, we have drained our savings and have spent more than $200,000 cash and credit trying to get her well.
Now, our HVAC isn’t working well once it’s above 85 degrees and we are in the Texas heat. This elevates her symptoms and makes her feel terrible. I have added window units but this has only slightly helped.
