This winter Seattle’ Singer-Songwriter, Carrie Biell underwent major abdominal surgery to remove a massive 6lb ovarian tumor, which also required a hysterectomy. Fortunately, the surgery revealed no signs of cancer, yet the journey has been accompanied by various medical expenses, including tests, specialist consultations, surgical procedures, and a three-day hospital stay. While Carrie is grateful for her health, she faced a financial strain due to eight weeks of medical leave from work and a ten-week hiatus from performing to focus on recovery.
This unforeseen financial setback has impacted Carrie’s financial future and any aspiration of releasing a record this year. Despite having a collection of ready-to-go songs for a full-length record, the incurred expenses have made it challenging to pursue this dream let alone manage day to day expenses as a mother of a 10 year old.
