Please Help Me Get My Brother Into Rehab
I never thought I would be asking strangers on the internet for help with something this personal, but I am trying to find a way to help my brother, and I honestly don’t know what else to do.
My brother is struggling with addiction, and as his sibling, it is heartbreaking to watch someone you love go through something like this. You want to help them, you want to take away what they are going through, and you want to believe that things will get better. But the reality is that loving someone and wanting them to get better doesn’t mean you have the resources to give them the help they need.
We have been looking into getting him into a rehabilitation program that offers three months of treatment. The cost is $70,000. I know that is an enormous amount of money, and even writing that number feels unreal. It is more than our family can reasonably afford on our own, but we still want to explore every possible way to give him this opportunity.
What makes this so difficult is knowing that getting help can be a major step toward a different future, while the financial side of it feels like a wall we cannot get past. I don’t want money to be the reason we have to give up looking for treatment. I don’t want to look back and wonder whether there was something more we could have done to help him.
I am not asking anyone to give $70,000 on their own. I know that would be an extraordinary amount to ask of anyone. I am hoping that if enough people are willing to contribute whatever they can, we might be able to get closer to making treatment possible. Even a few dollars could help us move toward that goal.
It is hard to put family struggles out in public. These are things you usually keep private, and asking strangers for financial help is not something I ever expected to do. But when someone you love is struggling, pride starts to feel less important than finding a way to help them.
My brother deserves the opportunity to get help, and our family wants to do everything we reasonably can to support him. We know treatment is not a magic fix and that recovery takes commitment and continued work. We are simply hoping to give him a real chance to begin that process with professional support.
If you are able to donate, share this request, or help us reach someone who might be able to assist, we would be incredibly grateful. If you cannot contribute financially, I completely understand. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering helping our family during a difficult time.
I am doing this because he is my brother, and I love him. I just want to help him get the chance at a healthier future that he deserves.
We’ve got a home for him for afterwards, but the treatment in Prescott, AZ has changed so many lives. Help me change his.
