Hello everyone,
I’m reaching out in a moment of dire emergency. I’m facing an immediate cash flow crisis that puts me at risk of losing my house and my car in the next 2 weeks. I’ve exhausted all my personal resources (friends) and have no family to turn to.
Breakdown of My Emergency Needs ($5,000 Total):
-
- Foreclosure ($3,150): I received a trial loan modification from my lender, and the last day to make the first payment of $3,150 is due by tomorrow, July 31st (I had all month but wasn’t able to get there). If I don’t make this payment, the modification will fail, and the bank will immediately schedule an sale date and sell my house in August.
- Vehicle Repossession: I’m also behind on my car payments. I have been scraping by sending a partial payment every month to hold off repossession, but this month I just don’t have it and I’m so close to repossession I believe they’ll just come take my car.
- Car Repair ($500–$600): A couple of months ago, I had an accident on the street that completely disabled my car. The damage was severe enough that it wouldn’t move, and I had to have it towed home. It’s been sitting in my driveway ever since. The repair estimate is $500–$600, which I simply haven’t been able to scrape together. Being completely without a car right now has made an already difficult situation so much harder.
- Utilities: My water and waste management accounts are several months past due, and I am receiving active disconnection notices. Being able to give them at least a partial payment would prevent them being shutoff.

How I Got Here & Why Things Are Turning Around:
I was laid off a few years ago. Despite submitting hundreds of applications and going through hundreds interviews (I’m NOT exaggerating), the employment gap has been a red flag to hiring managers. I spent the last several months working full-time in an intensive, commission-only sales role. Unfortunately, the ramp-up and training took months, and the market I’ve been working is incredibly difficult to close, so I haven’t made any money during this time. I’ve already drained my savings and retirement accounts and have been scraping by on research studies and mock trials that pay and also surveys that I get enough gift card money to be things like soap on Amazon.

I’m doing everything I can to survive. A friend is fast-tracking a job referral for me at her company. So, I know I will be back on my feet next month once this referral goes through, but right now I have an immediate gap that will cause me to lose everything before I can start.
Any assistance at all to help me deal with my mortgage payment, car payment, car repair, and keeping my utilities connected would be extremely appreciated.
Thank you so much for reading.
