Background: Nearly a year ago, custody of K’Ra was awarded to me after a two-year-long and emotionally intense court procedure. The legal battle and attorney fees have left me financially depleted. Despite these difficulties, I strive to be the best father I can be for K’Ra and to create a nurturing and loving environment for him.
Challenges Faced: Unfortunately, during the custody battle, I lost my position at my carrier job, adding to our financial strain. I am now seeking long-term employment while working on launching my own company as an independent digital creator. My goal is to assist others in bringing their creative projects, films, and products to life. However, the financial burden has made it challenging to make ends meet and secure our living situation.
Origin of Home and Current Situation: In 2018, I began purchasing our home with the intention of creating a sanctuary for K’Ra and his mother, whom I’ll refer to as “Jane.” At the time, K’Ra’s mother and I agreed not to enroll him in daycare centers or public schools to protect him from systemic indoctrinations. Additionally, we provided him with a nutrient-dense vegan lifestyle, which has been his dietary choice since birth.
Sudden Disruption: Unfortunately, our lives took a dramatic turn when Jane left with K’Ra without any notice or consent. This left me devastated and worried about my son’s well-being. Although I tried to seek help from authorities, I learned that, as an unmarried parent, I lacked rights to K’Ra without a court order.
Custody Battle and Legal Expenses: I fought tirelessly to regain custody of K’Ra, which led to a series of three court cases, each one taking a toll on my emotional and financial well-being. I had to pay substantial amounts to hire attorneys to present my case in court. Despite Jane’s substantial income, she did not invest in legal representation for most of the cases.
The first court case involved a criminal charge against Jane for breaking into my residence and assaulting my young nephew, who refused to retaliate against her. The second case involved the State of Texas unexpectedly requesting child support payments for K’Ra, even though he has been primarily in my custody in Alabama since birth.
The third and most critical court case determined K’Ra’s custody. I invested a significant amount of money, maxing out my credit accounts, to cover the legal expenses and secure a better future for my son. The judge settled in my favor because it was evident that I am nurturing, attentive, and stable, while Jane displayed inconsistencies and lacked these qualities.
Current Financial Struggle: However, the financial burden remains, and our home is now at risk of foreclosure. I have not received any child support from Jane, despite the court order. As a responsible and caring father, I want to provide the best for my son, but the mounting expenses and outstanding child support payments are overwhelming.

My existence is not typically fraught with such difficulties. I am highly educated, self-taught in a number of disciplines, and pride myself in being intellectually resourceful for others to help them along their journeys. I am a supporter and advisor to many. I understand that I made a poor choice when choosing what I thought to be a potential wife. However, there are moments when it feels surreal that I, of all people, am in this situation.
