Six years ago my wife and I finally were able to buy house for our family. I started my career in law enforcement, she became a vet tech, and everything was going right. Then covid hit and my wife got pregnant with our second son. She spent 30 days in the hospital due to medical issues during the pregnancy and had to quit her job. Everything went south and for the last 4 years we’ve been trying to just get paycheck to paycheck. Now, we’re at risk of losing everything we’ve worked towards as the bank started the foreclosure process. Several months went by where we couldn’t make the mortgage payment, and instead spent the money on gas and groceries.
