My name is Brian, I’m 54 years old and live on a disability income due to a work related injury.
My mom passed away May 1st of this year. She was in a nursing facility under Medicaid. Anyone who knows how this works can verify what I say. They sold her home, cashed out all her life insurance policies and emptied her savings to help pay for her care. When she passed I maxed 3 credit cards to pay for her funeral. And the part that is breaking my heart is there is no money left to get her a grave marker. I have $7,000 in Credit card debit and the grave marker is going to be another $4,100.00
