My name is Sabrina, and I am a single mother of two girls. We are about to lose our home due to eviction. I am asking for donations so we can keep our home and I can repair my vehicle so I can regain employment. This is extremely difficult to write because I have tried everything within my power to keep this from happening. My daughters and I have lived in our home for almost 5 years. As a hardworking woman I have always been able to maintain.
My daughters suffered the devastating loss their father June 18th, 2022 due to an asthma attack. He and I remained great friends after separating, and co-parented very well together. He was a significant part of our lives. I was asked by his mother to help pay for his funeral, as they did not have the ability to financially. So I used a large portion of my saving in order to bury my children’s father. Since then it has been a struggle.
A little over six months ago my vehicle broke down, and is in need of significant repairs of $2600. The transmission and power steering have to be replaced. Because we live in a rural area options for transportation to work is very limited. Uber, Lyft, or even taxis are very limited and very expensive. I lost my job after struggling to make it to work for a few weeks.
We are asking for any donations so we can keep our home, we can have our vehicle repaired, so we can resume our lives as normal. We need $2400 to bring us current on rent, $2700 to repair my vehicle, and I am now 2 payments behind on my auto loan in the amount of $600. My savings is empty and I have no other resources.
