I am getting ready to go through a divorce. My children’s father has moved to another state and is no help. I have been playing catch up with the amount of bills left for me to figure out on my own. Today my landlord showed up and told me that my rent is almost 2 months behind. I had no knowledge of this because my soon to be ex husband assured me the rent for December had been paid in full (the rent was his part of the bills to be paid). The landlord is only giving me a couple days to come up with the money before an eviction is filed. I work, but I do not get paid for another 2 weeks and my paycheck would not be enough to cover it. I have no support or help from family or friends and im just trying to hold it together for my kids. My rent is past due 2000, and I don’t know what else to do.
