Hi my name is Sumiko. This is my first time using any website like this so I’m trying to do my best to explain my situation. Currently, I am facing eviction. I have eviction court on Monday the 29th. I have tried to call and apply for many agencies for rent and utilities help for months but have not had any response or they did not have any funds so I’m at the end of my rope. I work very hard and I do not receive any government assistance so I find it hard to ask other people for help. I’m just so tired and my health for the past 2-3 years made it hard to always keep up. I finally was able to be treated this year with a procedure for a uterine artery embolism and iron infusions. I was in the hospital for 3 days and it took acouple of weeks before being able to function as i normally would and gradually gaining strength and energy back. However, each month I fell more and more behind paying off bills and rent and utilities in payments never fully paying each month completely and only gaining more late fees and paying my way thru an eviction after my procedure. I work 12-15 hour days driving for Uber and Lyft living in Tucson most days driving 1.5 hours to phoenix for events and more available work and sleeping in my car on the weekends taking a day off during the week to get rest. I have a daughter who lives with me age 19 going to school and working part time as well. I’m asking for help with the eviction as it is urgent and now with eviction fees will be 2250 plus I’m also in need of utilities which is now currently 1800 normally I pay only nothing more than 100-150 at most however this past summer it took almost 2 months to get the air conditioning fixed and I had to use fans all day and night because it was July and August in Arizona I didn’t realize my bill would reach 1800 and I been just paying my current bills and trying to get to paying that but I also am paying 500 a week to be able to rent a car from Uber to work. I have been applying for more work and keep pushing every month to hopefully just be able to pay off these bills I work very hard but with the expense of just basic needs and monthly bills i just can’t seem to get there. I do not have family except my daughters my dad pass away when I was young and my mother was never around. I got married really young and divorced really young my ex husband was a severe alcoholic and became very abusive and addicted to other substances that led him to be incarcerated the whole year or part of the year during my daughters lives. I raised 4 daughters who are now going to school and working 3 in california one married and i have 2 grandchildren one i have not met because of my health and finances i am 45. i started over in arizona 5 years ago with nothing i have been in the same place 5 years now and i like to start a food truck business with asian street food and buy a home for the first time. i would be very grateful to be able to pay off my bills most urgently my eviction and utilities and get a fresh start in 2026. thank you for any help and also for hearing me out!
