Last year, I lost my boyfriend of eighteen years to cancer. I also lost the vehicle and money we had accumulated over the time we were together. When my boyfriend passed, I met his family, who took everything we had worked for so hard. The landlord isn’t accepting the monthly rent from me. He wants me to move out so he can charge $1,200.00 a month, instead of the $800.00 I was paying each month. I have been residing at this address for nine years. I received a notice to vacate the property within ten days, as of today. Without family to help me move, I find myself 65 years young, in the world alone. I will have to hire movers due to my disability, and I will have to put my belongings in storage until I can find a home to move into. I’M so scared. I appreciate everyone.
