So where do I even begin because this whole year has been hit after hit both figuratively and literally. In the beginning of the year I was assaulted and almost put through a sliding glass door by my ex, so I had to get out of that but I really had no money because of all the financial coercion by my ex. Luckily the only friend I have let me stay for a couple weeks while I worked my ass off to get the money to get my apartment, literally putting in 50 and 60 hour weeks since 60s were max we are allowed.
Things were going fine for a couple months then I was injured at work, I went on workers comp however was told my claim was closed for noncompliance not scheduling an appointment, when the failure was on their providers end because I did call to make the appointment. I called to try to get it reopened and got no one just sent to voicemail and never received any return calls. End of June work put me on unpaid leave, so I have been scraping by since June, at times I have literally only had $10 left to my name. Since I work for an organization that has been known to violate its disabled workers rights. In August I was informed of underemployment through unemployment so I applied for it, initially was approved but then my employer submitted that I was working full time. I had to have a hearing for it which took a couple months to get to, where I won. I have a case pending on workers comp with representation. Also have a pending civil rights case.
However its all come a little too late and am facing my second eviction hearing. With the back pay and state kicking in some money I have enough to cover the last 3 months but none for this month after that and on top of it none for electric and internet that is about to be shut off. I’ve tried reaching out to the public programs and have been met with either no money or awaiting funds to try again next week(have heard that 4 times now from the same place). I have already drained my 401k covering the first two months I was off with no pay to cover rent and bills. I don’t have anyone else to turn to or any where to go if I lose my place, I can’t stay with the only friend I have because there is no room, I don’t keep a lot of people around me I’m either ending up being used or taken advantage of due to my kindness. Because having been abused by my biological father as a young child, I grew up to be the type that doesn’t want others to feel as I have.
I don’t have family I can call on, my adoptive parents have passed, along with my biological father, and I never really knew my biological mother. If I lose my place then I lose my ESA which is like my child, I helped deliver his birth. I currently need $2200, if you are in a position where you can help out, I would be eternally grateful.
