Hi, my name is Jessica. I’m a proud veteran, a mom of three beautiful children—including two with special needs—and someone who has been through some incredibly tough years. I’m reaching out today with humility and hope, asking for help as we work to rebuild our lives with a fresh start in Colorado.
We’re not just moving—we’re chasing stability, safety, and a future we can believe in.
My two youngest children need full-time care and support. One is autistic and disabled, the other has significant developmental needs. Because of their conditions, I’ve had to step away from the workforce to care for them. I receive a small monthly disability income. My fiancé works long hours as a plumbing apprentice, but it’s simply not enough to support five people through a major move.
We’ve been through homelessness before. I’ve had to choose between rent and groceries. We’ve lived in places that weren’t safe—but it was all we could afford. I’ve fought so hard to keep going, to keep my children warm and fed, and to keep hope alive.
Now we finally have a window of opportunity. We’ve been researching programs in Colorado—VA loans, disability support, special needs schools, housing aid. We’ve built a budget, started repairing our credit, and planned out our move for June 2026. We’re doing everything we can—but we can’t do it alone.
