Life has happened…
After surviving 12 years of homelessness, having a spinal fusion, getting away from a toxic relationship, and finally securing a place to live, I have found myself in desperate need of financial assistance.
Although I expected to have to bounce back financially from moving, I did not expect the unforeseen financial obligations I’m now faced with to occur so quickly after my move. I am now in need of approximately $7,000 for car repairs (air bag module, $2,700; Tires $300 to $400; Rear brakes, $500) all so the car will pass yearly inspection next month. I also need help with my next month’s rent which is $1000 so that I can at least have my head back above water and have a little cushion.
I worked hard – all by myself – to secure housing and I’m proud of myself. I’m 51 years old and I work two jobs while dealing with excruciating knee and back pain as I realize nothing in life is free and I have to work to keep what I have. There are still many obstacles in my way including declining physical health (back and knee surgeries are still needed) but I am determined to make it. I don’t want to be faced with living back in my car or sleeping from sofa to sofa every night.
I have many ways I can bring in different streams of income so that I won’t find myself in this place again, social media pages, but my passion is the Graphic Design business I started in 11/2022, Bucks Creative Designs LLC, https://www.facebook.com/buckscreativedesigns . I’m also working hard to build my clientele, I have faith that it will become a thriving, successful business hopefully worldwide. I also plan on going to school to pursue a degree in human services as I want to help others who have experienced homelessness, and toxic relationships as well. I have a head start with my social media pages tackling the topic of toxic relationships.
Stumbling blocks happen, life happens, I’m asking for a helping hand so that I can keep the roof over my head, keep my car in working condition, and continue with the goals and ambitions I have to excel and never go back to homelessness again. If you find it in your heart to help I am forever grateful and will not look at this as a handout but as a stepping stone into a productive future.
Thank you so much.
