Hello everyone my name is Brent, I am a 41 year old black male currently living in Houston, Texas. I found out about this website from a friend. I have been homeless for about 2 years now, before that I was in a 10 year relationship that didn’t workout. I did get 2 beautiful children which I love and try to see whenever I can. I was a union ironworker for 7 years until it got too bad on my back from lifting and tying rebar all day everyday. I recently went to heavy equipment operator school in December thru a VA program,but have been unable to find employment since then. I have been trying to go back to school for crane operator in Dallas but do not have any more VA benefits for school. I am just trying to get my life back together to better provide for my children and myself. I’m just trying to get money for my children Christmas and to get me a vehicle to better look for a job and have transportation to any job I get. I also need to take a DUI class to get my driver’s license reinstated which would open up more job opportunities for me. Thank you for reading my post and God bless.
