What can I say D day approaches. I’m set to move out next month but I’m stuck in a paycheck to paycheck cycle. I’m typically good at setting aside the funds I need to cover specific expenses but these last few months & weeks have been something else. From November to December I was locked into the holiday for retail which had me exhaused & beyond stressed. And having stress brian equals a lack of focus on saving up for my move. Then at the top of the new year the wildfires struck. I don’t live in the danger zone but the city I live in, Alhambra, which is south of Altadena where the Eaton Fire took place, was heavly affected by the toxic smoke and ash. The place where I live was definitely not built to prevent such levels of somke from seeping in, as it was built back during Tiki Era craze. I had to stay with a friend in a town over to be in a cleaner environment. If it’s not the wildfrie smoke it’s my toxic neighbors that live down stairs & my roommate, an acquaintance I’ve been living with for 2 two years, who has his own ticks & only a cretin level being cordial. He’s has apologized but it’s definitely time for me to part ways. My move is local & to another friend. One who I’ve known since high-school & lives in a more peaceful situation. I figure I need no more than $2,000 to move. Half of that to clear financial obligations to the apartment, mostly Utilities. The rest for the move & contribution for rent in the new space. Any amount helps. I would love nothing more than to close out this cycle of being stuck between a rock & a hard place. For what it’s worth, I have grown a lot while living in my current space. I’m looking forward to continued growth away from a toxic environment.
