My name is Jerry and I’m a 2 time cancer survivor (esophageal cancer) After being diagnosed with cancer I went thru 2 rounds of chemo and 29 radiation treatments to my lower face and throat… Neither of these were successful and I required surgery to remove my vocal chords, voice box, thyroid…. Basically everything in my throat so the cancer couldn’t come back later…. They gave me a hole in my throat to breathe with and inserted a tube so I could continue to eat normally…. The surgery worked but early in recovery it was discovered the incision wasn’t closing (they literally cut my throat from ear to ear), another surgery was required and things didn’t go so well… I was in a coma for almost a month and spent another two months in recovery… I needed a month of rehab to learn to walk again as I suffered a stroke while in the coma… I eventually made as full a recovery as one can from all this and a few months later returned to work
Recently I suffered another undiagnosed stroke and am experiencing partial paralysis on my left side (im left handed) and was put out of work by my physician… This was totally unexpected and I have no savings to speak of…. Im in serious danger of losing my home and vehicle while I go thru the process of filing for Disabilty again…. Anything will help and is greatly appreciated!!! Thank you in advance!!
