Hi, I’m in a place I never thought I would be: asking strangers for money. A little about my self, recently divorced it was mutual, no abuse, or cheating. February of this yr I lost my job after 15 yrs due to the company closing the doors. I am receiving unemployment and looking for work, I’m paying the bills and going on with life. As part of the settlement my ex wife gets 40,000,I had a loan approved and everything was fine until I lost my job and the loan was denied. Being unemployed makes it impossible to get a loan, and the time for me to pay her is very close. I know some people are thinking sell your home and split the money, and that’s a good thought ,but I’m 56 yrs old,and owe about 10 yrs on the mortgage,as everyone knows real estate prices are terrible, I’m trying to hold on to my home. I don’t live extravagantly, my vehicle is over 20 yrs old, I’ve always lived within my means and never had to ask for help. I’m asking for only 40,000 dollars,to pay my ex, and let me keep my humble home. Everything else will be on me. I can only hope that anyone reading this will believe me.
