I am reaching out to ask for urgent community financial support during an overwhelming financial bottleneck. My spouse and I are facing an unexpected cluster of essential living and medical expenses that have accumulated over the past three months, totaling $4,381. While we have sacrificed to keep our housing stable and our mortgage current, the surrounding bills have mounted to a breaking point where basic services and vital healthcare coverage are now in jeopardy.
Our most critical crisis is the sudden loss of assistance with our health insurance premiums. We relied on premium support through MADAP Plus (Maryland AIDS Drug Assistance Program), but due to recent administrative delays and processing barriers, our support has lapsed, leaving us directly responsible for covering the remaining premiums of $981 for the rest of the year. In addition to these upcoming premiums, I have an outstanding medical bill of $300 that is immediately due. Losing our health coverage would disrupt essential continuous treatments and routine clinical care that neither of us can safely pause.
