I am a mother to 5 children, 3 girls and 2 boys. I have 7 grandchildren. 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the liver. This was due to genetics. I received 2 genes which I developed Hemochromatosis, from my mother, and father. I am not one who consumes alcohol, nor do I use drugs. My husband is an army veteran, and we only have his disability. I am no longer able to work due to my health. My career was my passion for helping people. I was a nurse for 30 years. Now my focus is to be closer to my children and grandchildren. We live in Washington State with our 2 boys 11 yr. old and 3 yr. old. Our 11 yr. old is autistic with multiple other mental health problems. He is our grandson, though we are adopting as soon as we can. We have used all our savings on providing for him and his needs, so we need to get closer to our family in order to get help with him as well. I was told last week that my spleen was beginning to enlarge, and that the cirrhosis has progressed. I want to spend as much time that I can with my babies. I want them to know who I am. I want them to feel my love and make beautiful memories that will be everlasting for them and myself. Currently my grandchildren only see and hear me through facetime. My heart needs to be closer to them. We have a home to go to in Kansas. We just need the financial ability to get there. We do not qualify for any government assistance, therefor we live paycheck to paycheck. We go to the food banks to feed our family since we cannot afford to purchase food to last us a month.
