We are writing to apply for a donation to support the recovery of our manufacturing business, a New Jersey-based manufacturer of high-quality sporting equipment, following a devastating fire that impacted our operations on April 24, 2023.
Impact of the Fire: The fire caused significant damage to one of our production units, leading to a complete stop in our powder coating operations. This critical disruption forced us to outsource powder coating for ongoing orders, resulting in:
Increased Costs: Outsourcing significantly inflated our cost of operation due to higher per-unit pricing and additional logistics expenses.
Production Delays: Delays in receiving outsourced powder coating led to temporary production bottlenecks and order backlogs.
Reduced Efficiency: Shifting powder coating operations disrupted our workflow and impacted overall efficiency.
Recovery and Adaptation: Despite these challenges, we swiftly initiated recovery efforts. We:
Secured a new unit: Leased a new facility to relocate our powder coating equipment and resume powder coating as repairs are long and ongoing. Minimized downtime: out sourced powder coating company to maintain customer deliveries – however that added a tremendous amount of cost.
Invested in equipment repair: Began repairs on the damaged equipment to restore our in-house powder coating capabilities and bought new equipment
Donation Request and Utilization: To expedite our full recovery and resume pre-fire levels of efficiency and production, we request donation to be used for:
