Hi, my name is Abbigail, I’m 17 years old. I work a job for 13.75 at Pizza Hut and barely get 20 hours a week. I have to pay 250 in car payments monthly, and have to help my mother pay for groceries, and even sometimes, my cheaper medications. And right now, we’re really struggling. Back in 2021, I was diagnosed with severe depression, general anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, and since around first grade I’ve been professionally diagnosed with ADHD. Up until this year, I always had state insurance to help pay for my therapy and medications. Sadly my insurance was taken away and I’m still not sure why.
But now, my older brother, who is now in debt, is struggling as well. So our money is going to him, my mom’s and my medical bills, my therapy, and now I have to step up and help pay for things too. But with my hours at work, I’m simply not making enough money. I know it’s a big ask, but even 5 dollars helps.
