To anyone reading this, thank you for taking some of your time to hear me out. My name is Troy. I’m 59 years old and have been forced out of my business/apartment. Recently as of yesterday my landlord approached me in a arrogantly manner, to inform me that I was going to have to move, now mind you I have been here for over 15 years, I was here before they came and bought the property from the previous owners in which I had a great relation with, however when the property was being sold the new owners wanted to come around and check the units, once several people came into my unit 1 particular person looked me in my eyes and I knew there was going to be problems, so once they bought the place in so many words they were telling me that I would need to be looking for another place to reside, so fortunately my previous landlord had put in a good word for me. So lets fast forward 3 years from today the new owner has finally found a way to get me out of their unit and this is not their first attempt ( I have been a ideal tenant) for 1 that’s just how I am and for 2 I knew they were looking for any reason to get me out of here!!!
So I started a business called Hollarback Customs LLC, were we specialized in creating personalized gifts, the only one that I know of that’s a minority owned gift shop , we personalize button, balloon, teddy bears, dog tags and t-shirts ect….
When Covid-19 hit the business was decimated. I have been trying to rebound every since then, now all of a sudden I get hit with this horrible news, it’s unbelievable.
They have given me a measly 30 days to remove myself from the property, this is insane, they couldn’t a reason to put me out, so they made up something saying the tenant upstairs has bed bugs, however I don’t have that problem in my unit. So I became very irate but never showcased it, I’ve been taught you catch more flies with honey than vinegar
I was told I should put a number on our needs to make it clearer, so I’ll just say that if I can raise $5,000 -$20,000 that would be enough to get a moving company, find a decent retail location to move/live into and pay up to at least 6 months of rent, I am truly in dire straits, without help all my hard work to build this business will have to be hiding in a storage of some sort. If I can just get to that point, I’ll happily go back to working hard to grow my business as well as having somewhere to live.
