Hello all, so first. My Name is Greg, and I am new to this. I have exhausted all of my options and found myself here. I’ll explain. Due to illness and loss, I have now become my family’s primary the breadwinner, my younger brother and sister live with me. Work was rocky for a while, especially with the way covid destroyed my main places of employment years back. It’s been an uphill climb ever since. I had newfound hope, with landing a third job. Thinking, now I got this, but at the moment, I truly do not. Back covid bills are now starting to really Reak havoc. On May the 23rd our utilities were shut off, and now we have been in the dark for 3 almost 4 weeks now, and being in the dark, having to take cold showers, not being able to find, or clean anything, until the sun comes up, just fills you with a completely different kind of fear and heartache. Not for me, but for the ones I’m now trying to keep safe and provide for. On top of that, I received a letter from the landlord stating that, I’m in violation of my lease by not having my utilities on. Also, that this MUST be resolved within ten days of receiving the letter, which will be this Friday the 21st, or they have no choice but to move on to the possible eviction process, because the domicile is considered no longer habitable. The domicile. Is our home. My little family is everything to me, and it kills me to hug my little sister with a smile, staying positive in front of her while she says to me, everything is goanna be okay. I am ashamed to say that I almost have to hold back tears. But I will NOT give up. That’s why I’m here. I’m asking for 8,000 for back utilities to get the lights back on, and 19,000 to completely pay off the back covid rent. The Priority is the 8,000 for the utilities. If I can come up with that, it would be a blessing. Even if I only raise just that, I’ll continue to pay off the back rent. The 8,000 is the crushing one.
