My name is Sarah and I am a mom of 3 boys and a wife. My husband is off work due to back issues and I have recently been diagnosed with colon cancer. Although my prognosis is very good, I am scheduled for surgery Nov 13th to remove the tumor and will be out of work for 6 weeks. I am self employed as a delivery driver through a company called Spark for Walmart so I am unable to lift or drive during this time. Since I am considered self employed they do not offer benefits. I did apply for disability but awaiting approval and most likely wont get it because I am expected to make a full recovery. But during these hard times with price increases with groceries, electric, heat, and with my husband also out of work we wound up in a tough situation so any help would be greatly appreciated as I recover from surgery.
