I just turned 23 and am attending school again. This is the third time I’ve attended college due to financial issues. I’ve grown up in a dysfunctional family with an abusive parent. I always had the intent of leaving the house once my little sister became legal so I could take her out of this situation with me. Today is her 18th birthday. I stayed and put up with 23 years of mental, verbal, and physical abuse and it’s time I help myself and my little sister find peace. I currently have no car and no place to go and am struggling to afford this semesters payment for college. Her and I are ready to leave the abuse behind for our sake mentally and physically but we need assistance to make that happen. Anything helps and we really appreciate those who can assist.
