Hard working family of four with expecting mother and two very young children dealing with major hardships asking for any financial assistance at all to keep us afloat though the holidays.

Hello, we are a young family of four with a 4 year old little girl, and a 1 year old baby boy. My wife is expecting our 3rd child, another baby girl, in late January or early February.
When my wife and I first got together, we were both living with our parents and actually grew up a block away from each other on the same street but never talked until we were both a few years out of high school. We both grew up in poor low, income households, that dealt with many hardships throughout our childhoods. After we got together, my wife got pregnant with our 1st child and she moved into my mothers house with me. I started working when I was 16 to help my single mother out with finances and haven’t been unemployed more than maybe a couple weeks ever since. I worked mostly low income jobs until my daughter was about 1 years old, I finally got a decent paying job and started saving a little money here and there. When my wife got pregnant with our second child, my wife, daughter, and I were staying in my mother’s living room sleeping on an air mattress at night so it wasn’t the most ideal situation. I knew there was no way we could bring a second child into a situation like that so I knew we had to have our own place by the time my son was born. I ended up getting a second job on top of being full time detail manager at a car dealership. I saved up a good amount of money throughout her pregnancy and a couple months before my son was born we finally got into our own place. We applied for a ton of different places for rent but because of us having no credit history and being young we didn’t get into a lot of different places or other applicants were chose over us. We finally got into a nice townhouse that was pricy but we had to take it incase we weren’t offered another place before my son was due, so we had to take it and we really liked the house. I had a good amount of money saved and had decent income so we were confident we could live here comfortably financially. After our son was born we were doing great for a good year or 2. We had a couple good Christmas’s and birthdays and got our kids basically whatever they wanted. I wasn’t super wealthy or rich in any sense but we could take care of all our expenses, take care of our kids, and still live comfortably. We were doing good until about the beginning or middle of this year. My wife found out she was pregnant again, but about 6 to 8 weeks into her pregnancy, we found out that she had a miscarriage. Even though she wasn’t too far along, we were devastated and it was a really tough experience. My wife ended up have a few problems passing the miscarriage so she had to go to a good couple of doctors appointments to get it taken care of. I didn’t have medical insurance at either of my employments and we were denied government medical insurance because apparently my income was too high. So we had to pay a good amount of medical bills, also getting billed for the kids doctor appointments and anytime we would go to any urgent cares. Also the last year or 2, prices for basically everything have increased due to the recent economic problems so that’s been a struggle. After putting out a good amount of money around that time we definitely started feeling the struggle but we were still making ends meat. A few months later, very unexpectedly, my wife found out she was pregnant again. We’ve been very nervous and worried throughout this pregnancy because of her miscarriage a few months before that and have been hoping and praying for the best because of how much devastating losing the last baby was. She is actually a lot farther along with this baby then she was when we lost the last one and so far every ultrasound we’ve had, the baby seems very healthy and we recently found out we’re having a baby girl.
We’ve just been praying it goes as planned for the rest of her term. Although we were very happy and excited so far with this pregnancy, we were receiving more medical bills and our utilitiy bills were increasing in price and we started getting more and more behind on bills and expenses. We then had some more bad luck and had some parts go bad on our car and had to replace them and receive the maintenance on it. We only have one vehicle and are a very busy family so even though we were struggling, we really had no choice but to pay for the repairs. Around July this year, we started to get very behind on our bills to where I was getting cutoff notices for my water and electric and I’ve just been paying enough on it every month just so neither get turned off. Next month in August, I decided to pay on the utilities so they wouldn’t get shut off and be late on our rent. Our landlord usually didn’t mind if we were a couple days late on the rent as long as we payed it in the next couple days but i ended up not having the whole amount until after the 10th or so. So before I had the full amount, our landlord sent me an eviction notice. He told me if I could make the payment in the next 3 days, he would revoke the eviction. I was extremely worried because of my wife recently having a miscarriage and if we would have gotten evicted, that would have been a lot of stress on her and that’s the last thing that I wanted. We decided to try and get government assistance for the rent payment the next day. We were denied for assistance because even though we were behind they couldn’t give us any help due to me having too high of an income. The last thing I wanted to do is ask someone to borrow money but i would’ve done just about anything to make sure my family got to stay in our home so I asked some friends and family members to borrow the remaining couple hundred dollars but none of them could afford it. After this I tried applying for a few loans, which I was denied for every one of them due to lack of credit history. I ended up doordashing at nights after I got off work and luckily made enough to put the payment through.
After all of that we’ve never caught up and have been barley staying afloat. This month we signed a new lease for our home. When we moved in the rent started at 1450 per month but the rent was raised with the new lease to 1600 per month which just adds to our struggle. We’re closer to cutoff dates on my utilities more than ever, we’re very close to the holidays, and both of my kids birthdays are right before Christmas so we’re probably in the worst shape financially than ever. I’ve been working both jobs from morning to night almost every day of the week and most nights I’ll leave work and DoorDash for a few hours and most of the day on weekends. It’s very stressful to work 24/7, and barley have time to spend with your family just to scrape by and still be very behind. I’ve thought about a billion different options but we can’t really afford to move at the moment and with my wife expecting again, we really can’t move into a smaller home than what we’re currently in.

That brings me to why I’m here.. I really don’t like asking for help but when it comes to supporting my family I’ll do whatever I have to do to make sure they are taken care of. If anyone at all has any extra funds to donate, it would help us out incredibly and anyone who donates would be helping out a very honest hardworking family that’s in dire struggles. If anyone decides they would like to help us out and donate any funds at all it would mean everything to my family and would help us greatly! The username to my Cashapp and PayPal will be at the bottom of my request if anyone. Thank you so so much to whoever takes the time to read my article and god bless!
