I’m a full time Uber driver in Charleston SC. Last summer Uber changed the way we are paid. Consequently a $40,000 a year pay cut was forced on me with no notice. This has thrust me into a state of economic hardship. I have been working 6 days w week desperately trying to catch up. In addition to the pay cut Uber also started allowing drivers from neighboring states to come drive Uber here which makes it extra hard to make a livable wage. I fell behind after back to back tropical storms in the area along with some pricey car repairs that I couldn’t ignore. Since I need my car in safe & appropriate working order to keep everyone safe I unfortunately can’t ignore these repairs when they arrive. In the last 2 months I have purchase a new alternator, alternator cables, spark plugs, a blower motor for the ac, new brakes & rotors, along with four new tires. I’m a hard worker and are in need of just a little help to catch up. I pray some kind soul out there feels compassion for my situation. I genuinely appreciate any and all assistance given. 😊
