Hello and thank you for reading.
I’m from the UK and I had a small business working overseas pre Covid. This was destroyed from lockdowns and I was forced to come back to the UK and start from scratch with no place to live, no job and no furlough. The only way I could survive was to take out a loan to cover living expenses etc. If I hadn’t taken the risk then I would’ve been homeless.
Since then I’ve retrained as a truck driver – it’s long hours and physically demanding work but has enabled me to cover the loan payments and keep a roof over my head until now. However, with the cost of living spiralling out of control I’m struggling to make ends meet now.
I don’t drink, smoke and I’m not reckless with money. Like many, I had to take on debt to survive after having my income cut off by the ‘health experts’ and I’ve been digging myself out of this hole I never asked for ever since.
I’m well aware there are many causes here which will make my situation look trivial. Maybe somebody who was in my position once but is doing well now will see this, relate to it and give me a little help. I can’t tell you how much I’d appreciate it – when I’m back on my feet rest-assured I will pay it forward.
