Good day,
My name is Michelle Velvet and I’m writing to ask for financial assistance because at the beginning of January 2024, my mother suffered a fall while in Dominica for the winter, and some time before January 30th, suffered a stroke.
The law firm I provided services to for the past two years is refusing to pay me for services that I rendered including in January 2024 while my mother’s condition was deteriorating, and they are also refusing to pay me my commissions on 2023 settlements because a client wanted me to continue to represent her even though I was leaving the firm because of my family emergencies, of which my mother’s health emergency is not the only one.
I’ve been in Dominica since the end of January, but I have depleted my savings, my rent is now past due, all my utilities are being disconnected, I don’t know how I’m going to pay for my mother’s nursing home ($2,000 EC) by March 12 when it’s due. And, I don’t know when and how I will be able to be able to stay in Dominica past March 15, or buy a ticket to go back to Toronto.
I am asking for your financial assistance in any amount with the goal of raising the following amounts, however please note, that in addition to the investment opportunities below, I am willing to work off a business loan by manufacturing textile goods using my patented process for making 3D images/logos and designs, at costs (please see: IG: poolpartycouture – ladyvelvet AND https://www.ic.gc.ca/opic-cipo/cpd/eng/patent/2938764/summary.html?type=number_search&tabs1Index=tabs1_1 – manufactured by independent contractors (manufacturers in Toronto, Ontario and New York, NY)
a) $10,000 USD for family emergency expenses and losses: to help with paying for rent for my mother’s nursing home, for my rent in Toronto which is past due, and for travel costs to return to Toronto;
and/OR
b) $100,000 USD in exchange for 60:40 interest in the profits to build a mixed use (commercial-residential) building (AirBnB/rest-store) where my mother can God willing, spend her remaining years on the land her mother helped her get but because she wanted to make sure she helped me get a post-secondary education in Canada has not been able to build on. The land has a great location with a view of the Caribbean Sea and within a 15 minute walk to 2 beaches: Surprise beach & Mero Beach. From the AirBnB/rest-store, I would like to provide services to the community, export and import products and create intergenerational wealth for my children and investors who would receive a 60:40 interest in the profits from the AirBnB/rest-store, until the ROI on the $100K is doubled to $200K;
and/OR c) $250,000K USD for a 2% interest in one of the two corporations involved in the commercialization of the patent. Preference for investors with tech experience and/connections (CAD/CAM, advanced manufacturing, robotics)
