Introduction:
We find ourselves in a difficult and heartbreaking situation. I am a Retired Disabled Veteran who has served in the military for over 20 years. For years I have been battling a severe illness that has left me physically and emotionally drained. I must have a Lung Transplant which is the last resort, for any hope of returning to any type of normal life. The toll it has taken on my life and family has been difficult and overwhelming. I am reaching out for support during these challenging times.
The Struggle:
I am in a struggle every day with my illness. Simple tasks and hobbies that once brought me joy are now a thing of the past. The fatigue and pain make it difficult to even get out of bed or engage with loved ones. I have an oxygen concentrator at home and oxygen tanks that are my constant companions. A short trip to a store in itself turns out to be a challenge just to try and feel normal.
As a Military Veteran I have been fortunate, that the Veteran Administration will pay for my Lung Transplant operation. Our problem stems from the fact that the hospital which will perform the lung transplant is 3 ½ hours away from us. The hospital requires that we live within 1 hour driving distance from there location, and we do not have the funds to relocate for a year. We must move, and we do not have the necessary funds to rent a furnished apartment within an hour’s distance from the hospital.
With this complication the hospital performing the transplant can not even put me on the Lung Transplant List. Until we are officially within there area for the duration.
Why Donations Matter:
Your generous donations can make a significant difference in my life. Based on our research we have calculated that we will need at least $ 35,000.00. This will help pay for the necessary lodging, plus utilities, food and any unforeseen complications and issues concerning my recovery. With our financial situation resolved, I can mentally prepare my self for the lung transplant surgery and focus on my recovery rather than financial stress. Your kindness in these difficult and troubling times can bring hope back into our lives during this dark time.
Conclusion:
I humbly as for your support as my wife and I navigate this difficult challenging journey. Every contribution no matter how small brings me one step closer to healing and regaining my health.
I want to Thank You in advance for considering helping a Veteran in need.
God Bless You.
