Dear Friends and Kind Souls,
I write to you today with a humble and heavy heart, seeking your understanding and assistance during a challenging time for my family and me. Life has a way of testing our resilience, and though I have always prided myself on facing hardships head-on, I find myself in a situation where I cannot overcome the hurdles alone.
Over the past four months, I have been unable to work due to a debilitating bone spur in my right hip. The condition not only caused excruciating pain but also rendered me unable to walk properly. My leg would give way unpredictably, making even simple tasks difficult and unsafe. As a result, I had to take time off work to navigate a long process of medical consultations, referrals, tests, and treatments.
Thankfully, I recently underwent a fluoroscopic needle injection procedure that has brought some relief. I have now returned to work, eager to rebuild and regain stability. However, the months without income have taken a significant toll on my financial situation. Despite my best efforts to stretch every dollar, prioritize essentials, and keep us afloat, I am now facing the harsh reality of overdue bills and the imminent threat of eviction.
As a single mother of two incredible boys—an 18-year-old pursuing his college education and a spirited 6-year-old kindergartner—I have always done my best to provide them with love, stability, and support. Neither of their fathers has been present in their lives, and child support has never been an option. While I embrace the responsibility of raising my children alone, the current circumstances have stretched my resources to the breaking point.
I am not someone who asks for help easily. I have always believed in working hard and finding solutions independently. But today, I humbly reach out to you, my friends, and anyone willing to lend a helping hand. Whatever support you can offer—no matter how small—would mean the world to us. It would allow me to keep a roof over my children’s heads, catch up on critical bills, and regain the stability we so desperately need.
