I’m at a loss
On September 14, 2023, in good faith, I brought my 2010 Chevrolet Camaro RS for an oil change at Walmart. Like I have almost every month since I bought the car a year ago. Just one week later, on September 23, 2023, my engine blew up and I had to tow it to a mechanic, the mechanic’s report reflects that this vehicle has a high performance motor, and the wrong oil was put in the vehicle during the oil change, causing it to blow up.) I am now without a vehicle. Prior to this incident, I have had zero issues with my Camaro and it has not been in any shop for any reason other than routine maintenance such as new tires And oil changes. I called the store to speak to management and was placed on hold where I remained for 1 literal hour before I decided to draft an email to Walmart in a attempt to file a claim for damages. After calling multiple times a day for weeks they finally leave me a voicemail about them assuming liability. Now no one will return my phone calls or respond to my emails or anything. I am a single mom and my car is the only transportation I have to get back and forth to work to support my family. I don’t know what else to do but I don’t have the 1000’s of dollars to get my car fixed. $7,612.47 to be precise. Especially with Christmas coming up and having to pay for my chemo medication. Please help if you can I would greatly appreciate it because every day I’m without a car is another day I lose work and I can’t afford to lose my job. I’ve enclosed my cash tag below. Thank you and God bless
