Hello my name is Stanley I know im just a random person and i have no right to ask this of you, but I dont have people in my life to help. I got into a car accident recently and I don’t have full collision insurance just the FL state minimum PIP. I’m asking alots of folks to give me a complete stanger money and I truly dont feel great about it but i dont have many options in front of me. I have a cashapp, PayPal, and I also have a gofundme. You dont owe me a single cent but I would appreciate.
It happened at around 1:10am i was on my way to Raising Cane’s i entered the plaza then made a u-turn to get food elsewhere. Leaving the plaza i stopped before the road(Palm PKWY) waiting for left hand traffic to clear before driving forward to turn left to go northbound on palm pkwy. Before crossing the street I looked both right and left and the right side had cleared i then waited for the last car on the left to drive pass. The car a red GMC truck, had switched lanes I saw it approach slowly It then uses turn signals to indicate a right hand turn. I waited Until the car performed its turn. It did. I then looked to the right side of the road to confirm it was still clear. I then let off the breaks and drive forward there is a median in the road that i have to get to make my complete turn. Before completely leaving the plaza and being on the road, When I looked to my left to I very quickly had to Hit my brakes( the driver told me that they wasn’t their intended turn and was intead wanted to go the near gas station which would have been the next turn) I was Caught off guard by a By the truck that gave plenty of indication that they would be making a right hand turn into the plaza. The truck smashed into me Causing massive damage to the front of my car. The truck driver onto a curb i pull my car in front of his less than 12 yards from the initial crash we both exit our vehicles, but the driver of the truck leaves and proceed to walk away.he also leaves his car on and running. I did not follow. I instead call the cops and my insurance. My insurance did not answer. The guy comes back with a bag( i don’t know whats in the bag) about 10-20 minutes later, on his return i only got his Id picture, not his insurance. He fumbled around his car Looking for it, but did not give it. But I got his number and I took a picture of his Plates, And then he left. I Waited for an 45 or so minutes for the police to Arrive. They didn’t. I then headed home, which in my Opinion was a not good idea. I probably should have stayed until police arrived. But I this my first and I didn’t realize at the time it would work out alot better if I did.
