HI, My name is Jacob, in 2023 I was forced to file for bankruptcy due to business failure. I looked for work for a 6 months before coming to terms that I was running out of options. My families resources were running out, we were skipping bill payments, and the bank was threatening to repo our vehicle. When I filed for bankruptcy I was forced to include the vehicle as I wasn’t able to make the payments any longer.
When I filed for bankruptcy, I found out we were expecting our 8th child in that same week. It is now coming up to the due date in March of 2024 and we still don’t have a vehicle ready for when baby decides to be born. I haven’t been able to find a job either as we live a 13 minute drive from the closest town that would have suitable work. Not having a vehicle is holding my family back, as if we had a vehicle, I would be able to look for work outside of trying to find something remote.
